| ABOUT OUR CHURCH
The Body of Christ
The Body of Christ expresses who we are as
members of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. In the proclamation of God's Word
and in the Sharing of the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, God's
grace is bestowed on us that we might be empowered for ministry. As the
Body of Christ, we respond to God's call to us to walk as disciples of
Jesus and serve the world in all we say and do.

About Lutheranism
As Lutherans, we accept the Bible as the true
source of Christian love, guidance and doctrine. We accept the ancient
creeds of the church - Apostle's, Nicene and Athanasian. We acknowledge
Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Emmanuel Lutheran congregation is
part of a larger Ecumenical church; The Evangelical Lutheran Church in
America. For
more information about Lutheranism, check out the ELCA web site at www.elca.org

| Our Facility
Our facility is located on three acres and is
surrounded by a country atmosphere. Our current building was constructed
in 1954 and has served not only as a place of worship, but for education, children
and youth activities as well as being a mission outpost for various
service organizations such as a well-infant immunization clinic and food
bank. A new picnic pavilion was constructed in 2003 and is used for
congregational picnics, community events, outdoor worship, and the "Crusin'
In The Country Classic Car Show," (this year to be held on Saturday,
August 6, 2005, 12 noon to 3 pm). The pavilion is also rented out for parties.
Last year (2004) our congregation celebrated it's 150th Anniversary.
Please see the Calendar page for up-coming
events and activities that welcome you.
The Workshop
Rotation Sunday School for grades K - 6 has designed space in the building
for a surround-sound movie theater and a computer lab that are housed in rooms that are surrounded by a large, spacious fellowship
hall. |
